Help Build a Fence
For some time now it has been clear that the Nairobi National Park needs to be fenced. Initially 27 kilometres and in the long-term 120 kilometres (one side of the park is currently open). Extensive repairs to the existing fencing are also needed. This would control and prevent the human-animal conflict which has led to this crisis, and would allow the park's eco-system to re-develop.
Help to Increase the Wildlife Population
The grass needs controlled burning to re-grow properly. This would attract the herbivores back to the park and in turn, give the lions a source of food, eliminating the need to hunt in domesticated areas. Lion, cheetah and other animals from protected areas in Kenya could then be introduced to the park to replace diminishing species.
